Click-To-Call Converts 30-50%

Here at Performance Marketing Insider we’ve written quite a bit about the importance of using ‘click-to-call’ marketing efforts.  Running ads, for example, that allow customers to simply tap on your phone number to immediately get in touch with a real person can help you to get exceptional returns on investments.   A new report from Invoca is offering further proof that this type of marketing is one of your most effective options.

Whether you’re promoting a brick and mortar business or an online company, giving people the option to call you to get the information they need can be an extremely helpful feature.  This type of thing can be used in virtually every step of your sales funnel as well, which makes it one of the most versatile options as well.

The new report says that, “more than 32 million phone calls placed to businesses across 40 industries in 2014.”   This is a huge number, but many more could have been made had businesses pushed this as a good option.  Sadly, many businesses are still trying to focus all their marketing on just getting people to their website sales funnel which, while important, should only be one piece of the sales puzzle.

The report also found that calls lasted, on average, 16 times longer than the average amount of time people spend on a website.  This will obviously give the business a lot more time to convince a potential customer to make a purchase.

Most of the calls that businesses are getting are coming through mobile-only channels.  While this may not be surprising when you really think about it, this is an important statistic.  54% of calls come from mobile-only which would include mobile searches, mobile browsing on websites and more.  Just 16% come from offline channels such as phone books.   30% come from online channels that are not mobile in origin.

When it comes to planning your overall marketing strategy, and specifically your mobile marketing strategy, this is an important report to review as it will give you a lot of good information for decision making.  You can see the report HERE.
