Adknowledge Inc is the largest privately owned digital advertising marketplace, which provides a variety of different advertising and marketing services to customers around the globe. They recently announced that they are going to be dramatically expanding their video ad platform through an acquisition of Giant Media. Giant Media is an innovative video ad platform that has helped many brands make effective video ads.
Giant Media is well known for the distribution of the Dollar Shave Club video, which went viral, earning 13 million views. This video helped push the low-cost shave supply company into prominence in 2013. They also have an excellent suite of video products designed to make video marketing more powerful and effective.

This allows us to continue our mission of helping advertisers unlock their digital audiences across all types of ad formats, including social media, display, mobile, apps, email and video.”
Giant Media had also worked with major brand names including 20th Century Fox, Honda, Red Bull and others. This experience and reputation will be extremely valuable to the Adknowledge team as they continue to focus on bringing expanding their video marketing services.
The acquisition will help push both companies to the front of the digital marketing world as they were both previously leaders in their own respect. The companies had little overlap in scope, which makes this purchase an excellent fit.
The specifics of the deal were not made public, and at this point there has been very little speculation in terms of the price or payment structure of this acquisition.
