Wasting Time? Boost Affiliate Productivity

Affiliate marketing doesn’t have to be complicated, but it can get difficult if you aren’t really managing your time. If like many affiliate marketers you hold a day job, increasing your productivity can help you get the most out of your hours.

The question is – what does it take to really get things going in terms of boosting your affiliate marketing productivity? What can you do to ensure that you’re not wasting any time? The article below has the answer:

#1: Break Down Your Goals: There’s no reason as to why you shouldn’t break down your big goals or tasks. They can get overwhelming and you may end up not getting anything done at all. When you’ve got a lot of small goals lined up leading to the main one, it becomes easy to take action. Remember, every objective can be achieved if you take one step at a time, rather than rushing in.

#2: Record Your Ideas: It’s not uncommon to get great ideas while you’re in the middle of completing an important task. If you get distracted, you may get stuck up with your idea and leave your main task unfinished. This will affect your productivity – so the solution is to keep track of your ideas. Note them down so that you can come back to them later.

#3: Get the Worst Done First: One of the mistakes that many online marketers make is they put off the difficult tasks till the end of the day. This usually leads to procrastination as the task gets pushed to tomorrow. So make sure you’re take care of the task you are most likely to avoid, before you do anything. Do it the first thing in the morning and you’ll have a great day ahead.

#4: Leverage the 80:20 Rule: As an affiliate marketer you may end up spending a lot of your time learning rather than doing. By applying the 80:20 rule, you can take care of this. You can dedicate eighty percent of your time to taking action and the twenty percent to doing the learning. Set aside time for your forum browsing and email checking. Your aim is to get the most out of your time.

#5: Delegate Tasks: When you’re doing online marketing, there will be many mundane tasks to take care of. Try to delegate these tasks to your outsourcing team or your staff. Your focus should be on doing the most productive things so that you’re able to grow your web business strategically. The more you delegate tasks, the better it is.

#6: Use a Smart To-do List: Often when we create to-do lists, we end up adding tasks that are actually projects. What you need to do is create a smart to-do list which is made of up small, actionable tasks. These tasks have to be laid out in a crystal clear manner so that there is no confusion. Each and every task on your to-do list has to help you move forward towards your main goal.
