New ‘Reach Planner’ Launched by Google for Video Ad Forecasting

Google has recently launched a beta version of a new ‘Reach Planner’ tool, which is designed to help with planning new video ad campaigns. The tool will primarily be focused on YouTube ads, but will also be helpful with any video ads on the AdWords network.

This planning tool will offer reach data for all types of devices, and can help plan core audiences so your ad budget is going where you think it will be most effective. It is available in more than 50 countries at launch as well, making it an excellent option for just about all marketers.

In addition to planning, the tool will offer product mix recommendations to help you choose how you want your marketing budget to be used. They can point to which YouTube ad formats are likely to perform best based on your objectives, budget, and other factors.

The system is currently still in beta testing, but any marketer or brand that has a Google sales rep is able to make a request to be added to the system. There isn’t yet a date on when it will roll out to everyone, but assuming there are no major issues, it is likely to be within the next few months.
