App developers, and the marketers who promote mobile apps, often operate on a somewhat tight budget. Finding the best return on investment for advertising can mean the difference between a successful project, and one that fails to take off. AppsFlyer has recently gathered information about app marketing, and released a report with the valuable information.
The main point that is made is that Facebook advertising provides the best overall ROI. This is followed by Google, then Apple, and finally Twitter.
Google has moved up significantly in the rankings since they launched their Universal Ad Campaigns system, which helped them grow their app install share by about 40%.
While Twitter may be quite a bit behind, those who get apps through Twitter ads actually keep using them for longer than any other source. The user retention rate from Twitter is an impressive twelve weeks.
