Update: RipOffReport.com re-appeared an hour later.
It seems that perhaps infamous website RipOffReport.com, known as the database for exposing almost anything about anyone, may have been removed from Google, finally. Pierre Zarokian of ReputationStars.com noticed it first, posting on his Facebook page inquiring if anyone else had noticed. As of this writing, nothing from RipOffReport.com was showing up in Google’s index at all, including just searching for its domain name.
This could be great news for hundreds of thousands of people who have had their names posted on the site, often by anonymous posters, making all sorts of unverified claims about their business, their personal reputation. RipOff Report, owned by Ed Magedson has been highly criticized for accepting any posts, and only making changes or deleting them when paid money.
