Rakuten Marketing, which is a one of the industries leaders for omnichannel marketing, has recently appointed a new Chief Executive Officer. Tony Zito has been with Rakuten since 2012 when he joined the company as part of the mediaFORGE acquisition. Since then he has been working as the Chief Revenue Officer.
In his new role he will oversee business in the Americas, Europe and Australia.
When asked about the opportunity, Zito said, “I’m excited for the opportunity that lies ahead for Rakuten Marketing. We’re extremely passionate about our vision of re-inventing omnichannel marketing to create what we’ve coined the omni-experience – a marketing solution and offering that puts the consumer at the center. Having already delivered on the groundwork of this vision by integrating our channels, technology and teams, I sincerely believe that what we’re doing can change an industry, and I’m excited to be on the team that does it.”
Zito will spearhead these ambitious plans for the Rakuten Marketing team which has more than 600 people working in eight cities. Zito’s leadership since he joined the team has been noteworthy, and helped the company to enjoy 67% growth over the last two years. In just 2014, under Zito’s direction, Rakuten Marketing, LLC has added almost 250 new people and developed relationships with more than 1000 new advertisers.
