By now, everyone knows that mobile is the fastest growing type of web traffic, and that in many areas it is actually overtaking PCs. For actual transactions, however, PCs have been holding on to the bulk of the sales. This has caused many marketers to make the mistake of focusing most of their efforts on their full versions of the sites.
According to AppLovin, however, that is starting to change. In fact, the data they have collected points to about 30% of all actual transactions will be completed on mobile devices this Cyber Monday. The fact that this high of a number of transactions will actually go through on mobile devices is quite impressive.
Keep in mind that this is not even considering all of the people who will do searches and other research using their mobile device, and then move over to a PC to do the actual purchase. This is another major portion of the market, and if they can’t get their research done on your site, they will certainly be going to a competitor to learn what they need.
The easiest way to check your site’s mobile performance is to just visit it from a few different devices. If you have a smart phone and a tablet, take some time to browse it on your own and make sure all the features are working properly. Ask friends or family to do the same.
Of course, you can also use other webmaster tools that are available online such as usability reports from Google to help determine just how well your mobile performance really is.
