Facebook launched a feature for organizing advertising campaigns earlier this year. It was called “ad sets” and allowed marketers to make adjustments to sets of ads all at once, rather than doing them on an individual ad at a time. While the idea is great, it had a lot of problems and limitations that really made it so most people couldn’t get too much benefit out of the feature. With the latest update, however, Facebook is hoping to change all that.
You can now use ad sets to adjust bidding controls and schedule times for all your ads from a single place. You can also make unique ad sets based on the types of things you will be marketing. This is a great way to help organize and plan out your marketing strategy, without having to spend hours making individual adjustments every time you want a significant change.
While smaller marketers that don’t run a significant number of individual ads may not benefit from this change, it will be a huge help to those who are running dozens or even hundreds of individual ads for a single brand or product.
Many people believe that this feature should have been available from the beginning of ad sets, but the bottom line is it is here now and it will certainly help many marketers.
