Daily Content May Boost Traffic 100+%

According to a recent case study performed by Brafton, one of the best ways to build traffic levels on your website is to publish new content on a daily basis.  The study looked at how daily posts about a specific topic can draw in a steady stream of new visitors, and keep existing visitors coming back for more on a regular basis.  While this may not be a big surprise to most people, it does show just how effective it can be.

The study found that over the course of a year, a website that published at least once post per day experienced a 101% growth in total number of visits, year over year.  In addition, 45% of the organic traffic was from new visitors.

This shows that the new content will both bring in search traffic in much greater numbers, but people will also be bookmarking the site and coming back on a regular basis to see what is new.

Of course, the content has to be high quality, and you’ll want to include newsletters and email blasts to let people know about the new content so they will keep coming back.  The bottom line is, however, that high quality content is the best way to build traffic from virtually all sources.

Whenever engaging in a content marketing strategy, you will want to attempt to focus the topics you write about toward the type of traffic you’re looking for.  For most marketers, this will mean attempting to bring in visitors that are looking to buy something from the company.  This can be done with focused keywords, and writing articles that encourage people to take action.

The bottom line, however, is that it is essential to have plenty of new content on the site at all times, so people have a reason to keep coming back.
