PeerFly Affiliates Feed 10,000 People during Holidays

PeerFly, a major affiliate network, has always strived to be the best in all that they do.  That goes beyond just providing their affiliates with a great platform and their clients with an effective way to find new customers.  Last week, PeerFly partnered with the Bread of the Mighty Food Bank in Gainesville, Florida to provide over 10,000 meals to the hungry and homeless in the area.

This wasn’t just a corporate donation, however.  PeerFly wanted to include all their affiliates in having the opportunity to give, so they set up quite a creative option that would benefit everyone involved.  From 12/15 to 12/19, PeerFly allowed all affiliates that had a positive balance to instantly cash out their earnings for a 10% fee.

This instant cash out allowed affiliates to have extra money in hand for holiday shopping.  The best part, however, is that 100% of the fee that was charged was donated directly to the food bank.  The idea for this collaboration between PeerFly and the affiliates was just the first in what President and CEO Chad French hopes is a growing focus on helping to feed the hungry in the nation.

In an interview with Performance Marketing Insider, French said, “As the President/CEO of PeerFly, I wanted to ensure that my company had a purpose other than profit.  Even though we have one of the best affiliate platforms in the industry and provide good service to both our affiliates and clients, I believe every successful business should have a non-profit purpose behind everything.”

He went on to explain how he choose fighting hunger, “I searched for a cause that meets the same three attributes I look for when starting a new business: strong demand, scalable and inexpensive.”

There is no doubt that feeding the hungry meets each of these three requirements.  As French pointed out in the interview, 1 in 8 people in the world suffer from chronic hunger, the majority of those being children.  This is especially sad since with today’s modern machinery and technology, there is more than enough food produced each year to keep everyone well fed.

This is the first year PeerFly has donated to this charity, and with the help of their affiliates, they were able to supply 10,000 meals to the hungry.  French is not done yet, however.  He is already looking forward to next year.  He stated, “While what our affiliates did was an awesome feat, 10,000 meals doesn’t even scratch the plate.”

He continued, “With the industry’s help, we should easily be able to feed 100,000+ people every holiday season.  We are going to partner with more food shelters and food-based charities all over the US and across the world and I’m going to get more industry companies involved and hopefully the continued generosity of the hundreds of thousands of affiliate marketers.”

This is a great example of the many positive things that are coming out of the Affiliate Marketing industry, and from all of us here at PMI, we wanted to say thank you to Chad French, the PeerFly team and especially all of the affiliates who participated in this amazing effort.  We can’t wait to see what you do next year!
